Cone Beam CT Scan

Our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Practice utilizes state-of-the-art equipment which permits Dr. Özcan to diagnose conditions and provide treatment with unprecedented confidence. This involves use of a sophisticated imaging system, which incorporates cone beam technology into three-dimensional computer tomography.  Unlike a traditional spiral CT scanner, this 3D system provides precise, crystal-clear digital images while minimizing one’s exposure to radiation.

This new 3D system enables Dr. Özcan to perform a wider range of treatments in our office, helping to reduce multiple visits. The cone beam scanner permits Dr. Özcan to select the field of view (scanning area) that best targets the problematic site.  While limiting one’s radiation exposure, this technology permits focus to be directed to an individual’s specific treatment needs.   

Utilizing the 3D Cone Beam CT Scan provides unmatched visualization of anatomical details, aiding in treatment planning while also enabling Dr. Özcan to better illustrate and explain the particulars of each case. Dr. Özcan can also use this innovative technology to quickly and easily share 3D images of the area of concern with your Referring Doctor, allowing better collaboration regarding your care, improving the patient’s experience, with the collective objective of delivering a positive treatment outcome.
